Lines on Palms

Sometimes I know I become
all that's weak in a man, and weak in a boy.
But I keep trying and I won't quit
and that must be worth something more,
than a strong man who believes
there's nothing left to try for.

and I can be cold, I know, I know
But a woman is a warm breath on the back of your neck
And a warm belly pressed against yours.

We need to feel the sum of al our parts.
I'm more than what's laid out on lines upon our palms.
Although our hands aren't tied, we move as though they are.

There's one house in every town
that everyone steers clear.
And I don't want to live like that
I want to live somewhere like you.

By the sea. Where the cliffs keep sentry watching over me.

And it can get rough out there I know,
but a woman is a sail that remains unfurled,
so stay ahead of the wind man or you won't catch her.

We need to feel the sum of our parts.
I'm more than what's laid out on lines upon our palms.
although our hands aren't tied, we move as though they are
until we're bound by branching out.

Sometimes I know where I am
And what I'm doing, and what things might become
But that always seems like such a fleeting state,
for the remainder of the time I feel like I'm a babe in the woods, howling for deliverance.

And I can be cold, I know, I know,
but a woman is a warm breath on the back of your neck
and a warm belly pressed against yours.

Synchronous readings...

"The central proposition/insight of Marc Gafni's work on unique shadow, is that we're driven by forces within us that demand expression, and if we don't express these energies in the form they want to take, they'll find an expression one way or another (ie. in shadow or unhealthy forms)".

Thomas 70

"If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you".

A pearl from painfully flat relativist science about the painful flatness of relativist science...

"There is no final resolution to the debate about the relative weight that objective (moral) and subjective (experiential) criteria should have in deterimining what essentially constitutes "personal meaning". Baird (1985) stated that "a 'meaningful life' [construct] should not be used in such a way that Hitler's life must be judged meaningful just because he may have judged it so"."

Untying the Latent Knot

Though I am not you any longer,
I carry you in me, with me, still.
You are not merely memory.
You are alive, here, always.
Invited to the party
and riding shotgun like you always loved - feet barely touching the seat's end.
You're always here. You always were.
You are the voice behind the voice.
The will inside the choice.
I was once you, and we are now I.
You need me, and I you.
I see you, and you I.
Betrothed before we knew, and to the last.

30 Day Song Challenge - Day #16 – Dave Dobbyn – Slice of Heaven (A Song That You Used To Love But Now Hate)

Hate is an awfully strong word... but this song from my childhood does kinda suck on adult reflection.

Brilliant line from Excerpt C: The Ways We Are in This Together - Intersubjectivity and Interobjectivity in the Holonic Kosmos

"That is our goal: to "reverse engineer" an explanatory framework that plausibly accounts for all of those major methodologies--from phenomenology to autopoiesis to systems theory to hermeneutics--by "transcendentally deducing" a structure of the Kosmos that would allow those methodologies to arise and exist in the first place, because already exist they do. The suggested explanatory framework is called AQAL; its orientation is an integral overview of indigenous perspectives; its social practice is an Integral Methodological Pluralism; its philosophy is Integral Post-Metaphysics; its signaling network is IOS (Integral Operating System)--all third-person words for a view of the Kosmos in which first persons and second persons are irreducible agents, bearers of sentience and intentionality and feeling, not merely matter and energy and information and causality.

It all starts by listening to our own native perspectives".

- Ken Wilber
